Barbaque classic - finally on YouTube
2010-10-31
Up for an early memory boost? The 1993 Barbaque track "Distorgasm" is now on YouTube for the first time - and in high quality.
Not high art - but ended up to break ground for techno and trance in Denmark (due to the ironic vocal sample). Barbaque earned huge support on National radio and played to several rave parties up through the 90s.
Barbaque was one of Henrik Hjarnoe's first projects - produced with the Caucasuss guys.
DJ Ange returns to Insight Recordings with "113", a very solid slice of trance music. Remixes come courtesy of Binary Finary, Six Senses, Noctiva and none other than Michael Splint & Jox. Described as a touch techy and gritty treatment which ticks all the boxes for the deeper darker floor - capturing a minor scent of Knights Of The Jaguar.
In June, Swiss producer Andy Zufferey and sister Christine Zufferey released the beautiful "Blue" under their Heliophase guise - yet another melancholic bomb from Dave Joy's Joystick label.
Michael Splint & Jox have been busy doing a banging interpretation - will be available in an exclusive remix release later this autumn.

Lost Language welcoming Jox
2010-03-15
When the winter is now finally withdrawing, Jox is back with yet another remix offering. This time round, he has spiced up "Jupiter", one of last year's progressive highlights from Dallas-based producer Tasadi.
Jox has added a trancy "microbial'ish" vibe to the track, introducing punchy basslines and a soaring melody.
Forthcoming on Lost Language Recordings.

Naked once again
2009-10-13
Despite already having remixed "Naked In The Rain" once for Blue Pearl, it was no trouble for Jox to create a totally different environment for Michael Parsberg's take on the classic. His powerful elektro feel and Nellie Ettison's huge vocal shaped some immediate ideas. And so Jox turned the remix into a deep progressive groover with soaring arpeggios, a taste of acid and - as always - lovely pads. Finally, he invited Nils Harbo to guest with some warm balearic guitar flavas.
Out now on MP1/Disco:Wax.

Making full use of the original synth lines, Splint and Jox have introduced extra synths and piano riffs to give the track an entirely new dimension.
Also Hodel, Trance Arts and Chris Turner have added tweakings to the mix pack that has just been promoed to DJ's worldwide.
YouTube magnet!
2009-08-30
A treat for those in favour of taking time out to honour the past. A solid proof of having conceived an all-time crossover anthem, the Nagano All Stars project is a recurring YouTube magnet. "Push It To The Limit", which was co-produced by Henrik Hjarnoe and Nils Harbo, has firmly passed 25.000 views.
DJ Mag review Jox - Microbial(Crashing Waves) More fine fare drawn from Solarstone's 'Electronic Architecture' album, this has producer Jox summoning a full-blooded and surprisingly beefy trancer from the studio boxes. The chiming, lusty topline conjures all kinds of azure-coloured imagery, pointing 'Microbial' firmly in the direction of the Med.

Jox doing Dominik
2009-05-11
Yet another fantastic Jox remix is coming up. German mastermind Dominik De Leon of DuMonde has prepared a full vocalled re-spin of "Everything Changes" from last year. None other than Burhan G has layed down great new vocals, and to complete the package, new remixes are commissioned. Jox have been asked to do the trancy take on the track, whilst the housier version come from TV Rock.
The Jox remix recycles the key elements from the original and tweaks the guitar melody into a banging trance riff.
Microbial has hit your store
2009-05-01
The "music-meets art" odysee, Solarstone's carefully crafted "Electronic Architecture" CD including the new Jox brainchild "Microbial", is out now. Acclaimed by the Trance International pages as "it is THE album you don’t want to miss this year".
This spring, Jox joins the Solaris Recordings family, home of the likes of Forerunners, Matt Cerf and Solarstone. His latest "big-on-pads" conception "Microbial" is his contribution to the first chapter of the eagerly anticipated Solarstone compilation series "Electronic Architecture". The album is due April 6th.
Kickstarting 2009, brand new remixes are rising from the Jox staples this January. And this time round re-introducing Rey. - "A re-combination of our mind juices had been a subject of discussion for quite a while," Henrik says, "but when we were asked to remix the next release from Cristian Paduraru, we decided to act on it." Think Glenn Morrison meets Delerium. Think Rey's deep atmos and blissful pads meet the ever tight and dependable Jox grooves - and then add Erika's lovely vocal.
Jox & Rey's mutual recording history goes back to the 90s. A few of their early tunes as Solscape is again available from iTunes.

New Jox release
2008-11-24
Henrik Hjarnoe has added the final spice to completely new Jox material - apparently to be released in the beginning of 2009. The track has been named "Microbial" due to its versatile arp patterns and lush pad melodies. "Microbial" is set to be the first original Jox production to be released since "Taruska" which was unleased in 2004.
Twenty years! How about that...
2008-09-26
Wow! ... Week 39 it was exactly 20 years ago that Henrik Hjarnoe and his friend Michael Parsberg aired their very first broadcast on Radio Falcon. Their show expanded in rocket speed and is today considered a milestone in Danish history of club music, a first inspiration for many young producers whose works we enjoy today - and with guests like Ferry Corsten, GTO, Chicane, Apollo 440, Marc et Claude, Terry Lee Brown Jnr, Blank & Jones, Gianfranco Bortolotti, Faithless and the late Tony De Vit.
Radio Falcon closed in 2006.

Suzy Solar rumour confirmed
2008-05-21
After various hearsay floating around, it is now confirmed that Jox & Dan Nitro are laying down a track with Suzy Solar for her forthcoming artist album - being a result of their ferocious rerub of "Ocean Of Love" that torn US clubs apart last year. Throughout 2008, Suzy Solar will be producing ten brand new tracks for the album that also holds collaborations with Thomas Bronzwaer (aka Arizona), Terry Bones and Vast Vision.
Melodic paint by Jox on new Rey album
2008-04-18

The album features a rare blast from the past in shape of a moody downbeat tune "Pleasure", co-written and produced with Jox. Now available on digital download on iTunes or - if you prefer CD - from cdbaby.com, syngate.net and other respected online retailers.
